Spirit Kaitiaki / Guardian Face - Protection
Kaitiaki is a Maori word meaning Guardian or protector. This Amulet is inspired by just that and the years I spent with the Maori people in Aotearoa, New Zealand.

This Powerful Talisman represents a Kaitiaki or Guardian face. Weaving together the energies of: Labradorite as the Tongue, Black Ethiopian Opal as the Nasal, Thai Abalone shell as the Eyes, Mexican Fire Opal as the 3rd Eye and two small Labradorites as the crown.
TONGUE AND CROWN:
Labradorite Is a great grounding and protecting tool, protecting our energetic body from negative vibrations and psychic attacks. Labradorite resonates to a few chakras depending on colour, as you can see this piece has a blue sheen to it, this encourages self expression and speaking ones truth. Labradorite is also a stone of transformation and can help facilitate these changes in life.
An ancient Inuit legend tells us that long ago the Northern Lights were trapped inside the rocks along the coast of Labrador. One day they were found by an Inuit warrior who freed them with his spear. Sadly, the warrior couldn’t release all the lights and so some light spirits remained in the rocks. This is why labradorite is found in the rocks of Labrador today.
Labradorite is associated with the Aquarius star sign.
NASAL:
Black Opals forever reminds me of where we come from and where we are going - from the darkness to the light. And just looking at how the colours shift, is a metaphor for the universal changes in life. As well as carrying the energy of Opal, being one of the most creative stones pout there, Black Opal adds a grounded aspect and balances our energies at the same time.
